Godrej Interio aims 30% mkt share in TS by FY26

Godrej & Boyce, the flagship company of the Godrej Group, announced that its business Godrej Interio, India’s leading furniture and interior solutions brand is expanding their extensive range ahead of the festive season with a focus on steel modular wardrobes among a slew of other innovative and customised home furniture solutions.
As consumer demand increases ahead of the festive season, Godrej Interio has strengthened its omni-channel presence, in a bid to ensure a more accessible and seamless buying experience for its customers. The brand has over 55 channel partners and 14 company-owned outlets in Telangana. Cumulatively, they have 200+ channel partners across South India.
Dev Sarkar, Senior Vice President (B2C), Godrej Interio, said, “Godrej Interio, a centurion brand, has a strong brand recall and significant customer base throughout the country. Given the sizeable IT workforce in Telangana, the focus on new home interiors is also an area of significant opportunity. We are poised to capitalise on these emerging trends and expand our market presence.”
“With the major focus on living room, bedroom and kitchens category for growth in Telangana, we are committed to strengthening our footprint across Telangana this fiscal. The company aims to generate revenue of Rs 350 crore in South India by FY26 from the current revenue of Rs 270 crore. In AP & Telangana, it targets revenue of Rs 100 crore from Rs 65-70 crore now,” he added.
Dev further said that the company has a market share of 21 per cent in Telangana at present and aims to take this to 30 per cent by FY26. It plans to invest Rs 15 crore for opening 25 outlets, and also to have 150 retailers across major cities of this region over next three years. It aims to achieve a substantial growth of over 25 per cent across all product categories.
Speaking about their online business, he said that the e-commerce platform contributes to 7 per cent of the overall sales pie across India and 14 per cent of the business in Telangana. While Godrej Interio continues to expand its offline stores, it is increasing the online penetration by increasing the delivery points from 2,000 pin codes to 5,000 pin codes over last 6-12 months.
According to Dev Sarkar, the organised furniture market is about Rs 1.3 lakh crore in India. The company claims to have 45 per cent market share in the country. Aligning with the upcoming festive celebrations, it is offering assured discounts of up to 30 per cent and a chance to win free furniture via scratch card from 15th September, 2023 onwards.
